Retail Media Activation Suite
The platform provides the audience, personalization and measurement layer a retail media program runs on: prioritizing which offer a customer sees, suppressing out-of-stock products, placing sponsored content in owned channels, feeding paid media platforms with governed audiences, and measuring incrementality and new-to-brand impact. Delivery mechanics for paid, in-store and specialist formats are handled by connected partners.

- Does clean-room measurement require sharing raw customer data?
Two halves of a retail media program
Owned-channel monetisation
- Supplier-funded offers and sponsored placements inside the retailer's own app, site and email.
- Offer priority and stacking rules decide which eligible offer wins.
- Sponsored products as weighted or reserved slots inside existing recommendation surfaces.
- Dynamic creative assembled per customer from product, price and offer attributes.
Paid media activation
- Governed audiences pushed to ad platforms, retail media networks and DOOH partners.
- Bidding, delivery and format rendering happen on the connected platform.
- Incrementality measured with holdout groups against warehouse sales data.
- Clean-room measurement through the zero-copy segments pattern.
Supplier versus retailer-owned offer prioritization
| Mechanism | What it does |
|---|---|
| Offer priority ranking | Each offer configuration carries a priority value, so a defined winner is selected when multiple offers are eligible. |
| Funding source tagging | Offers are labelled supplier-funded or retailer-owned, so prioritization and reporting can be split by funding source. |
| Stacking rules | Rules define whether competing offers can combine for one customer or only the highest-priority offer is shown. |
Stock-aware suppression
Offers and sponsored placements can be tied to a live inventory feed, so a promotion is automatically suppressed if the product is out of stock or unavailable in the customer's fulfilment context, such as their local store or delivery region. This is the same real-time cap-checking pattern of the offer lifecycle, with stock availability as the constraint.
Sponsored product placement
Sponsored products and supplier-funded placements surface within owned channels, recommendation slots, app placements and email or journey content, using the same personalization engine that powers organic recommendations: a specially weighted or reserved slot within an existing surface, not a separate ad server. The platform is not a retail media ad server with bid auctions, supplier self-serve portals or invoicing; a dedicated monetisation platform such as Criteo or a retail media network like Zitcha typically handles supplier-facing campaign management, bidding and billing.
Multi-format paid media
| Format | How the platform participates |
|---|---|
| Retargeting / display | Audience export to Criteo (native connector) and other retargeting platforms. |
| Retail media network | Audience and offer data shared with a retail media network such as Zitcha via API integration. |
| Owned channels | Email, SMS, push, WhatsApp and on-site or app personalization, delivered natively. |
Measuring incremental impact
- PlatformBuild the governed audienceSegments, including zero-copy segments evaluated on warehouse data, define who is eligible.
- PlatformHold a portion outA share of the eligible audience is deliberately excluded from the campaign or offer.
- Connected partnerDeliverOwned channels natively; paid formats on the connected ad platform or DOOH network.
- Connected partnerOutcomes land in the warehousePurchases and exposures accumulate in the governed warehouse, on each side's own environment.
- PlatformJoin without copyingExposure and outcome are matched where the data lives; only the result is shared, the zero-copy pattern applied to measurement.
- PlatformReportIncremental sales versus the holdout, and new-to-brand status from prior purchase history checked in the warehouse.
Brand lift and new-to-brand
Brand lift (awareness, consideration, favourability shifts, typically measured by survey) is a different methodology from sales incrementality and is usually run through a dedicated brand-lift or survey provider. Sales incrementality via holdout groups is native; survey-based brand lift is scoped with a specialist partner. New-to-brand status is determined with the same warehouse-native segmentation approach, checking a customer's prior purchase record as part of the audience or reporting logic rather than copying full purchase history.
In-store retail media and DOOH
In-store digital signage and DOOH placements are delivered by a dedicated in-store media or DOOH platform that owns the hardware, screen network and content scheduling. The platform supplies the governed audience, offer and personalization logic that determines what a given store, region or segment should see, through the same integration pattern used for the other partners in this suite.

Every claim is compared with this product: what is live, what is partial, what is planned and what is not applicable by this product's design.
1 Partial4 Planned2 Not applicable
- Offer priority and stacking by funding sourcePlanned
Campaigns carry no priority against each other and no funding-source attribute; conflicts between two campaigns are resolved by the frequency cap alone.
- Stock-aware suppression from a live feedPlanned
No inventory feed is connected; a coupon list's remaining count is the only supply-side figure, and no send reads it.
- Sponsored slots inside recommendation surfacesNot applicable
There is no recommender and no public recommendation surface in this product, so there is no slot to reserve: the two non-personal readers over purchase lines, popular and bought together, are read only in a session from the settings hub, and the recommender guides are reference-only.
- Audience export to paid media platformsPlanned
Segments stay inside the workspace; no export to an ad platform exists, and one would carry its own consent and isolation review.
- Holdout incrementality against warehouse dataPlanned
The campaign analytics screen counts each campaign's delivered, bounced, opened and clicked messages with their rates, where the channel reports them; no holdout group is drawn and no warehouse join exists.
Campaign analytics - Owned channels delivered nativelyPartial
Email, SMS and WhatsApp campaigns are the owned channels here; on-site, app and push are closed.
Campaigns - Clean-room measurement through zero-copy segmentsNot applicable
No warehouse-native segmentation exists; a segment is counted by the segment routes from the workspace's own purchases and receipts.
